Dr. Susan Hancock is experienced in the treatment of venous disease.
She is Board Certified in Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Hancock treated patients with venous disease in a Vascular Surgery practice for three years prior to opening her private practice in 2011 for the purpose of concentrating her energy and expertise in venous disease taking advantage of the most current and evolving technology.
Whether for aching & tired legs, painful & ugly varicose veins, or swelling & skin changes, Dr. Hancock works closely with each patient to design a treatment plan suited to individual goals.
An ultrasound of the affected leg is typically performed to evaluate competency of the veins or adequacy of venous blood return to the heart.
Treatment may involve a single procedure such as endovenous thermal ablation which closes an unhealthy vein with a catheter through a small IV insertion. Otherwise, treatment may require a second procedure to shut down residual varicose veins. Sclerotherapy or chemical venous ablation precipitates a reaction that results in your body closing and absorbing unwanted veins.
Direct involvement with each patient is important to Dr. Hancock and distinguishes Hancock Vein apart. In fact, patients frequently describe the personal attention at Hancock Vein as an important part of their experience in arriving at the quality of their treatment outcome.
“My goal is to provide quality care to patients that translates into improved health and rejuvenated lifestyle.”
